As part of his Leelanau County activities this past Friday, Senator Carl Levin headlined a fundraiser to help raise money for the campaign. It’s not often that a senior U.S. Senator takes an active interest in a local State House raise, and I think it highlights the interest top Michigan Democrats are taking in this race.

I’ve long been a strong supporter of Carl Levin. He is a model Senator, and his passion for representing the people of Michigan sets the standard for public service to which I aspire. It was an honor to have him with me on the campaign trail.
