Today is Primary Election Day in Michigan, and I strongly encourage everyone – Republican and Democrat – to vote (though you can only vote on one side of the ballot). Here in Leelanau Township, where I voted earlier this morning out at the Fire Hall, we have county millages for recycling and roads. Across the 101st District there are a number of other millages, including the Suttons Bay Library millage, the Mason County Fire millage and millage for the Senior Center, and the Benzie Bus millage, to name just a few.
In addition, there is a Democratic primary for the 34th District State Senate seat, which covers Mason County as well as three others.
For more information on where to vote, check out the Secretary of State’s Voter Information Center at https://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/mivote/voterSearch.aspx.
