After campaigning for over a year now, we have just one day to go until Election Day 2006! We’ll continue to work hard, right through the close of polls tomorrow night. How we spend the next hours could make the difference between a local candidate fighting to ensure our local voices are heard, and just more of the same from Lansing. It’s time for a change!

Jamie and I will hit each of the four counties over the next two days, continuing to go door-to-door and connect with voters face-to-face. While my opponent continues to flood answering machines with push polls and robo-calls, we’ll close out this election the way we’ve campaigned every day from the beginning: communicating a positive agenda for change through personal, individual contacts.
Here are five simple things you can do in the next two days to help us win:
1. VOTE. Polls are open tomorrow from 7am – 8pm.
2. Share your enthusiasm with your friends. This is a grassroots, people-powered campaign, and the energy of our supporters will be crucial in these last hours.
3. Go door-to-door in your neighborhood or make an hour or two of phone calls, encouraging Democratic friends and neighbors to vote tomorrow.
4. Help people get to their local polling place tomorrow. If you know people who may need a ride, call today to arrange for a pick-up time. Or call headquarters at 231/ 386-7000 and we’ll put you on the list.
5. Make plans to attend our victory party tomorrow night. We’ll be watching election returns tomorrow starting as soon as the polls close at 8pm.
